After picking up my pass at the festival’s HQ on the roof of the Arclight theater in Hollywood, I wandered over to the Cinema Lounge, a meeting place/bar that was unfortunately quite under attended most of the day. Yet another example of the aura of lameness that settles over all but the very strong when [...] According to multiple reports, England international and Anfield hero Michael Owen is days (if not hours) away from returning to the site of his greatest goal scoring triumphs. You can click through on the links above to see what the specifics are, but the really important part of all this is, the former ‘Wonder Boy’ [...] For England, Copenhagen’s Parken Stadion was last night “but a foul and pestilent congregation of vapours.” Clearly, Gerrard, Lampard, Owen et al. have of late–but wherefore I know not–lost all (their) mirth. And what of others in England’s squad? [...] Like sands through an hourglass, these are the days of…a Michael Owen.
