Rabbi’s back! Tell a friend!
(SO sorry for that…couldn’t resist.)
So…yeah. I’ve decided to brush off the mothballs and resurrect The Rabbi Report as a going concern. What that means, I’m not sure but there will be film, TV, home video, politics, music, sports and other assorted mishegas, all with my own particular spin and well, you know I have my opinions!
So follow along, why don’t you?
Welcome to the all-new but still in beta Rabbi Report! I’m (obviously) still working on the design, blogroll and such, but I wanted to get up and running, so here we go. I’m excited to get back to blogging and I promise to be a little more regular about posting.
All my old Rabbi Report posts are still here, but the new design and new platform may have put a bit of a whammy on some of the post and there are likely some missing pix and broken links, categories that aren’t nested correctly, etc. There are five years of posts, so while I will try and fix things as you notice them, I would generally assume that the older stuff might not look quite right for a while. If you do notice anything, send me an email at: rabbi (at) rabbireport [dot] com.
Going forward, expect to see a whole lot of entertainment posts with a healthy dose of politics, sports and food, wine & spirits. I’m a film critic and features writer at CNN.com so I hope to supplement my stuff there with posts here and will be doing more home video content as well as TV and music-related posts.
On the politics side, 2012 is an election year, so there ought to be more to write about that usual. The GOP primary campaign is really starting to look like an overstuffed clown car and it’s going to be fun watching to see how badly they batter each other before losing to President Obama in the fall. Yes, I am going out on a limb and predicting re-election.
I’m keeping this short. I head back to New York for the first time in 8 months tomorrow and 2012 starts in 8 days. I’ll be at the Sundance Film Festival for the first time in 11 years and hopefully, Berlin for the 11th time in 13 years.
Happy Holidays, everyone!
So dig it, y’all…. I’ve frequently referred to indieWIRE as a baby of whom I no longer have custody. Well, turns out someone bought my baby. SnagFilms. Dig it: SnagFilms Acquires indieWIRE
And as a part of that, here’s my new blog, Docsider!
I CAN READZ DOC BLOGZ?
One thing I forgot to mention when I announced my new site design was the new “bookmark” feature. It’s a handy little button on each post that looks like this:
What does this do? Well, it enables you to add my entries to del.icio.us, digg, StumbleUpon, technorati and hosts of other social bookmarking sites. So if you like a post, please click on this link and add me!
Welcome my friends, to the blog that never ends! (Shit, I don’t even like
The Tubes Emerson, Lake and Palmer…oh well…) So I have, as you can see, completely re-designed my blog (isn’t it purty?) with the help of the friendly and cost-efficient folks over at Firmdot. Over the next few days you might notice a few broken image links, but I am correcting them as soon as possible. Got any design suggestions? Drop me a note at: mark (at) rabbireport.com
