SXSW 07 Music: Morocco? Really?

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Scene:
Descending elevator in the Austin Hilton Downtown, the HQ of the SXSW Film, Interactive and Music festival.

Players:
Me and 5 young women dressed for going out, ages range from slightly below to just barely 21 years of age.

Lead Girl (just closing her cell phone): "Ok, here's the deal: They're at capacity, so we might not get in, but you four go to the club. You're all on the list so you should get in and are 21 or have fake IDs. I'll figure something out...find a backdoor, or something. Remember, if anyone asks, we're all in a band called Morocco."

Girl #2: "Why do we have to be Morocco?"

Lead Girl: "Because I said so!"

With that they went off into the night.
