Veronica Mars, A Prom Date...And A Duck

That's right, I said a duck. More on him later. At a party for Theo Avgerinos' 50 Pills early in the Tribeca Film Festival I was lucky enough to be in the company of one Veronica Mars. Yeah, I know that's not her real name, but my blog, my rules. Veronica Mars was there. Also attending were, in this picture, L to R: Nora Zehetner and Eddie Kaye Thomas. Nora was in Everwood for a time and is great in the pic as Bell's ascerbic pothead roomie and, well we all know how funny "shit break" is. Look, I know Bell wants to be known as Kristen Bell the actress and not simply as Veronica Mars, and she is indeed an excellent actress. Anyone who's seen Deadwood (she played Flora, the devious teen hooker in two season 1 eps.) or the aforementioned UPN show knows that. It's just that I am a wee bit obsessed with her UPN (soon to be CW) show. Deal with it.

At the tribeca party for Ishai Setton's The Big Swim, which I unfortunately didn't get the chance to see, guests were treated to a goodie bag that included some water, altoids, what looked to be a faux pearl-encrusted cock ring and a some of them had a little duckie. I like the duck. One of the best bits of swag I've gotten in recent years. Isn't he cute?
