Wag The Dog: Fort Bragg Style-ee

fmd0002.jpgIn a recent post I mentioned that troops at Fort Bragg were apparently instructed to be somewhat reserved in their reception of president Bush's speech on Tuesday night, and to the TV observer, it appeared like they didn't need that instruction. Well, in the post-speech wrap up on ABC News, it seems that maybe the troops needed the opposite kind of encouragement. An ABC correspondent (forgive me, I didn't catch who it was) remarked that the one mid-speech moment of applause by the largely military audience in attendance was triggered by a member of the president's advance team. What is this, a sit-com?
