Same Old Song And Dance - More Thoughts On The Shrub's Speech
Of course, as it is with almost all political speeches across the political spectrum, Bush's remarks were littered with buzz words and key phrases. Derivations of the word "terror" were uttered 30 times. "Freedom?" 21 times. "Democracy?" 9 times. In fact, if you add the various forms of: "peace," "freedom," "democracy," "liberty," "hope," "prosperity" and of course, "September 11th," you get 77 mentions. Oh, and don't forget the most famous man who had very close ties no ties at all to Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden (two mentions).
Here I present a short list of people and things that are about as closely related to the War in Iraq and Saddam Hussein as Osama Bin Laden: Oprah Winfrey, heroin, bagels, Jack Russell Terriers, my friend Shelley, male rape fantasies, Tom Cruise, (did I say that?), the Bay City Rollers, Tiny Tim and of course, New York Yankees left fielder, Hideki Matsui.
George, a word or two of advice: No one fucking believes you anymore! Move on!!!

Amen brother! Bush wasn't addressing the nation but rallying his base who are slowly realizing that he is a terrible President. So, drop those buzz words, pimp (yet again) 9/11 and hope your poll numbers go up is his--I mean, Rove's plan.
Let's hope people stay wise, eh?
Amazingly enough, no mention of WMD. I wonder why?
Sheesh.
