Danica Patrick, 1st Woman To Lead Indy 500, Finishes 4th
Congratulations to rookie Danica Patrick, the 23 year-old who today became the first woman to lead a lap at the Indy 500 and ended up leading for 19 laps during the race. Unfortunatley, she and her team tried a risky move by not pitting in the final 40 laps and ended up running out of gas on the last lap, finishing 4th. Still, the highest position ever for a woman at Indy and a performance that will not only likely land her on the cover of magazines and newspapers all over the world but might inspire more women to enter fields traditionally dominated by men.
Huzzah, Danica!

Oh yeah...besides being a great driver, she's awful purty, too!
