3rdman.jpgIf you haven't yet already done so, run, fly, drive, walk, ride or crawl down to Film Forum on Houston St. in NYC to catch Carol Reed's masterpiece The Third Man, Starring Joseph Cotton and Orson Welles, Trevor Howard, Alida Valli and Bernard Lee. Widely though of as one of the greatest films ever made, it is probably on more top 10 lists than any film in history. Well, I have absolutely no evidence to base that on, but I am, as you may well know, prone to hyperbole.

That said, most serious film people, including Roger Ebert, Elvis Mitchell, Bingham Ray and myself ;-) consider it a masterpiece. It is truely one of the most flawless films ever made. Go. You'll thank me for it.
